Beta testing · October 22, 2026
Try the workflow. Keep your official books.
You may test with fictional records or church-authorized real accounting and giving records. During beta testing, keep your current official bookkeeping system and enter the same activity there. Regularly reconcile StewardLift against those books and original statements. This is parallel bookkeeping; it is separate from the double-entry accounting inside each system.
A simple beta routine
- Get your church’s authorization before entering real records. Review who will have access.
- Keep official books and source documents outside StewardLift. Record the same activity in both places.
- Compare offering totals, deposits, fund balances, and reports. Investigate differences before relying on results.
- Export regular copies, store them securely, and report problems without sending sensitive records or recovery secrets.
Independent security validation and production operational readiness remain incomplete. Parallel books help identify accounting differences; they do not eliminate privacy, security, or data-loss risks.
Your own workspace
Public workspace signup is paused. New churches can join the waitlist without creating an account. Existing beta workspaces have separate books with a starter chart of accounts and funds. It does not grant access to another church. The initial owner receives temporary Master Administrator access within that church to evaluate available tools. Invited people receive their assigned roles.
Each person uses their own password. In Settings → Accounts & invitations, an authorized manager creates and shares a private invitation link. Initial roles come from the invitation; later permission exceptions require separate pastoral review.
Ready to evaluate
- Double-entry accounting and fund tracking.
- Offering counts, giving details, deposit verification, and correction history.
- Donors, households, statements, and pastoral giving insights.
- Bank CSV review, reconciliation, and monthly close.
- Annual and monthly budgets, income and expenses, and budget comparisons.
- Documents, notes, exports, roles, and reviewed access exceptions.
- Cited UMC guidance and a yearly audit checklist.
- Saved recovery codes and administrator-assisted verification and recovery.
Keep highly sensitive information out
Do not enter Social Security numbers, full card or bank account numbers, bank passwords, payroll tax records, medical details, or confidential pastoral-care records. Redact statements, checks, and other attachments. This beta does not initiate payments or process payroll.
Still ahead
Direct bank sync, bills and payment approvals, workforce tools, payroll processor integrations, automatic email delivery, self-service restore are not connected. Account managers manually deliver private links to the saved mailbox. Email verification is completed only when the recipient confirms that link. Paid plans and production availability have not been set; the beta does not collect payment details or automatically enroll you in a paid plan.
Know the limits before you begin
Read the terms, privacy policy, and beta limitations. Statements, reports, and UMC checklists need review; they do not certify tax deductibility, accounting compliance, an independent audit, or conference approval.
